Prayer is an integral part of our strategy in Lita, Cotacachi and Ibarra, probably the most important part. We cannot hope to make an impact on the lives of the Ecuadorians without prayer and prayer support. Here are a few suggestions for prayer items:
Please pray for team members to have joy, peace, love and other fruit of the Spirit which only can be given by the Father. Pray for our safety. Pray for wisdom and courage in all circumstances. Pray for ability and desire to share our faith in all circumstances. Pray for eyes to see where God is working and for faithfulness and obedience to join Him in that work as soon as we see it. Pray for the ability to talk about our Lord despite natural language barriers.
Please pray the same for the permanent personnel in Ecuador who prepare our way, who house us, feed us, translate and drive for us. Pray and ask God for divine encounters in Lita, Cotacachi and Ibarra with “men and women of peace” - Luke 10. Ask Him to open doors ahead of the team, prepare hearts, send dreams and visions, and challenge seekers to search for Him.
Pray specifically for the Ecuadorian people among whom the team will be ministering. Pray that God will reign even stronger in their hearts.
Remember that this is spiritual warfare. Please ask the Father to protect the team from sin and from interference by the evil one. Pray that the Father will enable the team to fulfill His purposes in foreign spiritual, cultural, physical, and emotional conditions.
Pray for all of the team’s needs: our physical, mental, spiritual, and material needs to be met by an all sufficient Father.
Pray for God to provide for and bless the team members’ families while we are away from them for a significant period of time.
Praise and thank the Father in advance for the work that He is doing in the hearts and lives of our team members in Lita, Cotacachi and Ibarra, the prayer and financial supporters, and the Ecuadorians.
