Atlee Community Church Extension Ministry
Return Mission to Ecuador
February 1-10, 2008
Dear Friends of Atlee:
Atlee Community Church has been invited to return to Ecuador in February, 2008. Our goal is to help build a children’s camp for the Awa tribe in the Ecuadorian rain forest, near the town of Lita in northern Ecuador. In addition, we will host the recreational activities of a Christian youth camp at Amigos en Cristo Church in Cotacachi, Ecuador. Lastly, we would also like to help the Puente de Amor Church finish their church building in Ibarra, Ecuador.
There will be a team of twelve people traveling to Ecuador. We would like you to please help by being a member of our prayer support team. We know that God hears your prayers. He protects us and empowers us to do the work He sets before us. We cannot do this without Him. You will be every bit as important to the fulfillment of His will in Lita, Cotacachi and Ibarra, as our team members there. Please pray for our safety, health, team unity, new friendships and sharing with those we meet. See the Prayer Support page for a list of suggested prayer items.
We also ask for your financial help with the high cost of travel, food, shelter, and materials we will need to complete our mission. If you feel led by God to help us financially, please do so by online donation or a check written to Atlee Community Church, with “Ecuador 2008″ written on the memo line. We have created this website (blog) to keep everyone updated on our trip. Please check back or subscribe to our RSS feed to keep up with our progress. We will be keeping daily journals during the trip and will posts updates whenever we find internet access.

Ecuador Itinerary
Below is a list of our planned activities and destinations. Click here to view a destination map.
Friday, Feb 1st
Fly from Richmond, VA to Quito, Ecuador. Travel to the Amigos en Cristo (Friends in Christ) Church in Cotacachi.
Saturday, Feb 2nd
Tour the town of Otavalo and Cuicocha volcano (this is not the erupting volcano, we will be more than 100 miles from that one).
Sunday, Feb 3rd
Church services at Amigos en Cristo in Cotacachi and Puente de Amor (Bridge of Love) Church in Ibarra, and then head for the Youth Camp in Cotacachi. Share recreation and worship times with the teens at the Youth Camp.
Monday, Feb 4th
Finish the fun at the Youth Camp in Cotacachi. Pack for trip to Lita.
Tuesday, Feb 5th through Saturday, Feb 9th
Travel to Lita where we will construct an outdoor shelter for youth camp activities and the Awa Believers’ Conference.
Thursday, Feb 7th
Thursday night we will be visiting Cell Groups (small groups) in people’s homes in Lita. We will give our testimonies and hear theirs.
Saturday, Feb 9th
Finish up construction project in Lita. Head to Ibarra and participate in a “Radio Puento” radio station interview. Then share teaching and testimonies at the CCB (Centro de Capacitatión Biblica) Training Center in Ibarra.
Sunday, Feb 10th
Farewell service in Cotacachi. Tour the city of Quito. Catch a late night flight from Quito, arriving back in Richmond on Monday morning.
