One of the traditions of the Atlee Mission Team is to wear brightly colored T-shirts while traveling to and from their destination. This quickly identifies us as a group, and we can easily spot each other in a crowded airport if we get separated. It also prompts bystanders to ask us questions, and gives us a great opportunity to tell others about our mission.
For the 2008 Ecuador trip, we chose a ‘Bridge Diagram’ (one of Pastor Jeff’s favorites) with a roof over it. We also put the following verse in Spanish over the diagram:
“En el todo él edificio, bien armado, se va levantando para llegar a ser un templo santo en el Señor.” Ephesians 2:21
In English, this verse reads:
“In Him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.” Ephesians 2:21 (NIV)
The diagram and scripture both tied in nicely with the outdoor shelter we were building on this trip, and the church buildings built on previous trips.
The front of the T-shirt featured an outline of South America with a bulls eye over Ecuador and the words ‘ACC Mission Trip to Ecuador 2008′.

Many thanks to Bethany Johnson for doing the graphic designs, and to Cecil Davis for printing our bright green T-shirts.
